
Australia’s big business groups are up in arms against an independent review that backed the Albanese government’s workplace reforms, arguing it is a “political charade” that poses “economic danger.” The BCA and MCA accused the government of stepping away from its pledges in productivity and ordaining a review which was said to be biased in conduct. The reforms aimed at boosting worker wages and working conditions and closing the gender pay gap have been heavily criticized by the business community.
