REPORTS: Kevin De Bruyne May Leave Manchester City As a Free Agent-Sky Announces

Sky reports that Kevin De Bruyne, the star midfielder of Manchester City, may leave the club briefed as a free agent when his contract finally runs out. The Belgian playmaker has been a leading figure during the years of dominance by the City side but has so far secured no pact extension.

Interest is intensifying over his future with clubs from Saudi Arabia and leagues beyond the MLS reportedly making their demands. De Bruyne, the key figure in Manchester City’s domestic and European success, might consider another challenge and possibly look towards the other side of the Premier League.

In a season when he has been struggling with injuries, the 32-year-old is still very much among the top midfielders in world football. Should he take the leap, he will carve an end to an era that has seen City celebrate multiple Premier League titles, FA Cups, and one UEFA Champions League trophy.

City fans can only wait and see because the club maybe would want to negotiate an extension and keep its midfield maestro, but if there are wealthy offers from foreign leagues, it is not up to the club.
